Meet the Creator of Team S.P.A.R.K.L.E.

Grace Myler, your reigning International Junior Miss Midwest Jr. Teen is the creator of "Team S.P.A.R.K.L.E" . 1 to 2 times a month, at the southside Boys & Girls club in Minneapolis, MN, a group of girls ages 8-14 come together to meet and talk about various topics. Grace has been leading these discussions and talking about all types of topics including; Public speaking, interview skills, goal setting, dream building, etiquette skills and more!

Grace's most recent topic was "What it means to be a bully and being bullied" The group worked together to show the effects of being a bully, how to spot a bully, stopping bully behaviour and filling out a worksheet on building their own self-esteem. Grace handed out information from the Pacer center and encouraged the girls to take the pledge against bullying. The girls posed for a photo with their bookmark/pledge cards from the pacer center and grace RASIED her CROWN against bullying. The photo will be submitted to the non-profit organization, RAISE YOUR CROWN AGAINST BULLYING .

Grace is also an ambassador for project Bear Hugs, a non-profit organization that gives teddy bears to children in in need. Last August, Grace made a commitment to the Southside Boys and Girls club to donate 120 bears to their program. Taking it one step further, each month Grace boxes up the bears along with boxed cake and frosting and calls them Birthday Bears! Each month she delivers 10-20 Birthday Bear boxes. The kids really look forward to this!

Grace Says, " Volunteering is a really big part of my life. Creating Team S.P.A.R.K.L.E and having the opportunity to teach a variety of Life Skills every month at the Southside Boys & Girls club has been a blessing to me because even though I'm teaching the girls, they are teaching me just as much! I love giving back! It makes me feel good and I like knowing that I'm making a difference"
